Salem joined IHG Group in 1997 and climbed his way to General Manager Position. He, then joined Royal Private Affairs in 2015 and upheld the position of Managing Director – Royal Palaces (Consultant and Head of Travel Committee).
In his current role as Managing Director of Fairmont, Raffles, Swissotel & Swissotel Al Maqam, Accor Makkah Hotels, Salem oversees the strategies, day-to-day operations, including management of the Hotel’s Executive Teams, 5,000 Keys and more than 2,500 hotel employees.

Mr. Saad Khayat, a seasoned hospitality professional, boasts over 22 years of industry experience. Presently, he serves as the Cluster General Manager for Makkah Hotel & Towers, a position he has held since 2018. Mr. Khayat has held key positions with several international hotel chains, including Marriott International, Accor Hotels, IHG, and Starwood, at various locations. As the managing of the MCDC Group’s assets, he ensures that the four strategically placed towers and hotels in the Holy City of Makkah work seamlessly together as one. His accomplishments at the Makkah Hotel & Towers (MCDC) are noteworthy, and he has been entrusted with managing the Hajj & Umrah division within the MCDC Group.
